CRACK IS WACK NYC

BACK TO BROOKLYN

GEEZ. Okay so the last time I wrote was all about Chicago, Riot Fest and the fun times the Windy City has to offer. Since then I spent another few weeks in NYC, then went to South America, then back to NYC and then home.. to Melbourne.

I did have this grand master plan of blogging from each city, but I guess the lack of internet in South America meant that was not going to happen, and now I must write in hindsight based on notes from a travel journal and things I scribbled on paper here and there.

Let’s take it back to Sunday 21st September (looking over some notes I jotted down while in NY on random bits of paper and in my phone). Sunday 21st September starts with “I’m currently sitting in Brooklyn Bridge Park in the sun, just finished a choc-chip ice-cream and am now on the grass with a spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty. Man, I wish I was back there. It was hot. I remember that day, this woman was sitting near by having a read:

DUMBO

Before going to NYC I was certain it was a place I wanted to live, and if I spent enough time there I would know exactly where and what I would do while there. I’ve come home and realised I don’t think it’s the place for me. I fell into an endless trap of parties, shows, drinks, food, people, music, art, coffee, sleep, repeat. Don’t get me wrong – I LOVED IT but I am also not cashed up enough to sustain that kind of lifestyle.

Over those few weeks back in NYC, I stayed with a couple of Aussie legends in Bedstuy, and then with a typical Hipster for a bit in Bushwick.
Instead of recounting my whole trip and telling stories (which will take me forever), maybe I will just post a few pics from some of my favourite memories.
